Reservation fee & damage Deposit Reservation Fees are nonrefundable and are not included in venue rental package pricing.  Damage deposits are refundable and are not included in venue rental package pricing.  For our most popular wedding packages, the reservation fee is $500 to reserve your chosen date plus a $350 damage deposit.  This $850 payment is nonrefundable for a cancellation or change of date. There are no courtesy holds for dates. Requested dates are reserved only when the fee and deposit have been received. The damage deposit portion will be refunded by mailed check three weeks after your event pending no damages. Changing your date would require another reservation fee payment.  Upon a written/emailed cancellation request, all payments are retained and a credit will be issued for one year from the date of cancellation notification.  Note:  Some of our smaller packages have different reservation fees and damage deposit amounts.

 

An invoice for the Reservation Fee and Damage Deposit can be emailed to you with a payment link for a free ACH online transfer.  Payment in the form of Check (payable to Eastern Wedding Venues) or cash can be paid at the time of your viewing appointment or can be taken to the WLH/EJE Recycling Office. The office is open M-F, 8am-5pm.

Please note that the lake house’s address (1515 Sticks Road, Washington, NC 27889) is a physical location address only (for your invitations). The lake house does not have a mailbox. All payments and correspondence should be mailed to the office address above (802 Recycling Ln).

 

Payments – A rental package has to be chosen within seven days of reserving a date.  A payment schedule will be given after your rental package has been chosen, and the reservation fee has been received. Your balance will be paid in full 30 days prior to your event. Late fees will apply for payments received after due dates. If no payment has been received by the eighth day after a due date, your event is canceled, and all payments are retained. Please mark your payment due dates in your calendar! Upon a written/emailed requested cancellation, all payments are retained and a credit will be issued for one year from the date of cancellation notification.

 

Receipt of Reservation Fee and Damage Deposit Payment acknowledges that client has read, understood, and agrees to the Policies of WLH published on the Whitehurst Lake House website.
